General Partner, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & ByersTed Schlein is a General Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Schlein joined KPCB in 1996 and focuses on early-stage technology companies in enterprise software and infrastructure markets, including ventures in the networking and consumer security arenas. Before joining KPCB he served as VP of Enterprise Solutions at Symantec, the founding CEO of Fortify Software and a board member of ArcSight. He currently serves on the Board of, or is an investor in AlienVault, Bit9, Endgame, IonicSecurity, Mandiant, Shape Security and Synack. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of InQTel and is regularly sought out for his opinions and consultation on the future direction of the United States’ cyber security policy. He holds a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
