Ted Schlein is a General Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Schlein joined the firm in 1996 with a focus on early-stage technology companies in the enterprise software and infrastructure markets, including ventures in the networking and consumer security arenas. Before joining KPCB, he served as VP, Enterprise Solutions at Symantec. He has served on the board of ArcSight, was founding CEO of Fortify Software. He currently serves on the Board of or is an investor in Mandiant, Bit9, AlienVault, 41st Parameter and Shape Security. Ted also serves on the Board of Trustees of InQTel and is regularly sought out for his opinions and consultation on the future direction of the United States’ cyber security policy. He holds a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
