Chief Executive Officer, AgariPat Peterson is Agari’s visionary leader and a pioneer in the email business. Peterson joined IronPort Systems in 2000 and defined IronPort’s email security appliances. He invented IronPort’s SenderBase, the industry’s first reputation service. In 2008, after Cisco’s acquisition of IronPort, he became one of 13 Cisco Fellows. In 2009, he spun-out email security technologies he developed at IronPort/Cisco into a company he founded, Agari, which secures the email channel. He is currently CEO at Agari, formerly Authentication Metrics, Inc. (AMI), and consults for Cisco as a Cisco Fellow. He chairs the technical committee for the Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG) and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
