Security Architect, LiveOps, Inc.
Jan Hertsens created X-Cleaner in 2001 (the first anti-spyware program at that time). To support this product, Hertsens co-founded XBlock systems in 2002 and served as its CTO. Before its acquisition by FaceTime Communications in 2005, he developed RegBlock , SpywareGuide , X-RayPc and 2 patent-pending spyware protection technologies. At FaceTime (now named "Actiance"), he worked in the malware research labs as Chief Architect for enterprise anti-spyware products. Currently, his work at LiveOps as Application Security Architect keeps him busy reviewing, pen-testing applications, setting up policies and driving projects related to various compliance requirements (PCI, HIPAA etc…). In between those projects, he designs and implements extensions to the custom "Security Operations Center".
