Director for Federal Cybersecurity, Executive Office of the President, National Security Staff
Dr. Earl Crane is the Director for Federal Cybersecurity within the Cybersecurity Directorate of the National Security Staff. Crane’s portfolio includes federal information system security, cloud computing security and coordinating the federal information system cybersecurity priorities.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University. He also earned his Masters of Information System Management at Carnegie Mellon, specializing in Information Security and graduating with honors of "Highest Distinction". He recently defended his PhD dissertation “Emergent Network Defense” from the George Washington University.
