Dan Mitchell is an attorney in Bernstein Shur’s Litigation and Business Law Practice Groups, as well as the firm’s Data Security Team, which includes attorneys who focus on legal, technical and insurance issues surrounding data security. He represented PATCO Construction in its successful appeal before the First Circuit Court of Appeals in its suit against People’s United Bank. The appellate decision broke new ground on how courts should evaluate the commercial reasonableness of Internet banking security procedures under Article 4A of the Uniform Commercial Code. Since then, he has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and Wired, for his work on the PATCO case.
