Dr. Aniket Kate leads the Cryptographic Systems research group within the Cluster of Excellence at Saarland University, Germany. Kate’s research aims at bridging the gap between cryptographic and system security (and privacy) research. Before joining Saarland university, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Max Planck Institute for Software Systems (MPI-SWS), Germany. He completed his Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo, Canada in 2010, where he was part of Cryptography, Security and Privacy (CrySP) Research Group and the Centre for Applied Cryptographic Research (CACR). He obtained his Masters Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Bombay in 2006.
