Director, Law Enforcement & Information Security, Google Inc.Richard Salgado serves as Google's Director for law enforcement and information security matters. Salgado oversees Google’s global law enforcement and national security efforts, and legal matters relating to data security and investigations. Previously, he was with Yahoo!, and also served as senior counsel in the Computer Crime Section of the US Justice Department. As a prosecutor, he specialized in computer network crimes, such as hacking, wiretaps, denial of service attacks, malicious code, and other technology-driven privacy crimes. In 2005, he joined Stanford Law School as a legal lecturer on computer crime, Internet business legal and policy issues and modern surveillance law. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School.
