Cyber Security School Challenge: Information Security Professionals Needed
5:10 – 5:40 PM | Crypto Commons

Hosted by the Executive Women's Forum, program founder.

When we were young, a simple lock gave all the protection we needed and passwords were required only to enter childhood forts. Today’s connected world creates new safety risks for kids. But you can change that. Kids need security professionals, like you, to volunteer to teach them how to stay safe online and how to use the Internet in ways that won't jeopardize their privacy or damage their reputations. A few hours of your time could mean a lifetime of safety to a child. Come join the Cyber Security School Challenge and utilize programs developed by the National Cyber Security Alliance (staysafeonline.org),(ISC)² and Carnegie Mellon University to start giving back to the schools in your community. Hear how your peers at Nationwide teamed up to win the 2011 Cyber Security School Challenge. Hosted by the Executive Women's Forum, program founder.

Flash Talks Powered by PechaKucha
5:30 – 6:30 PM | Crypto Commons

PechaKucha (PK) events were devised in Tokyo in 2003. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit chat", PK rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds (total presentation length – 6 minutes, 40 seconds). PK events are fast-paced to keep interest levels high. Witness high-energy presentations, like you've never seen before, from some of the biggest names in the industry:

  • Jeff Jones Director Trustworthy Computing, Microsoft Corporation
  • Ed Skoudis, Chief Technology Officer, Counter Hack Challenges
  • Mike Rothman, Analyst & President, Securosis
  • Ira Winkler, Chief Security Strategist, Codenomicon
  • Herbert "Hugh" Thompson, Ph. D., Chief Security Strategist, People Security
