Getting Started
If you’ve never used LinkedIn for Groups before, here are some useful instructions.
To get started, check out the LinkedIn for Groups FAQs, and read the information for Group Members.
Join our LinkedIn community. If you have not received an invitation, contact your RSA Conference Groups Administrator for one. Once you’ve taken care of that step, you’ll be able to search for other attendees and colleagues – and other Conference attendees will be able to find you.
Find RSA Conference group members by clicking on ‘advanced search,’ and selecting ‘search within my groups.’ You should see the RSA Conference group logo in your search.
If you want to narrow your search to find specific colleagues – or help them find you –add the following additional information to your profile.
How to Complete Your Profile
- Go to http://www.linkedin.com/myprofile
- Click “Edit” under Additional Information section.
- Enter keywords in the Groups and Associations section:
Conference venue: e.g. Europe, Japan
Member level: e.g. Member, Founders Circle
Years: e.g. 1998, 2003
An example might be: RSA Conference Founders Circle 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007
Note: The ‘Additional Information’ section is separate from the RSA Conference Group but the keywords you use will help colleagues find you when they use the “Search with my groups” capability.
Doing a Keyword Search for RSA Conference Group Members
- Go to http://www.linkedin.com/search
- Click “Search within my groups” near the bottom of the page
- Check the box to limit search to the RSA Conference group
