Session Tracks
Applications & Development
Sessions in this track will focus on topics related to the secure development, implementation and operation of package and custom developed applications, whether they are legacy, Web-based, or other (e.g., peer-to-peer). This track will also include sessions related to applied cryptography.
Business of Security
Non-implementation issues about the security industry, such as strategic trends, financing (e.g., VC investment in security start-ups) and broad service offerings such as auditing and consulting will be discussed in this track.
Governance
Sessions in this track will focus on government policy and legal topics for the security community, as well as regulatory compliance, risk management and standards.
Hosts
Learn about issues related to functional devices connecting to a network that are not directly related to network-level security or interconnectivity, for example, servers, endpoints (desktops, laptops, printers, multi-function devices), mobile communications devices, embedded systems and issues related to the operation of devices (operating systems, virtualisation, endpoint security capabilities).
Hot Topics
Sessions in this track focus on late, breaking news, events, and/or revelations just prior to the Conference to ensure that information presented to delegates is as current as possible.
Networks
Regardless of communications media (wired – copper, fiber optic; wireless – Bluetooth, IR, 802.11x, satellite), network-level security devices and issues (firewalls, IDS/IPS), interconnectivity devices (routers, switches, hubs), protocols and trends will be examined in this track.
Professional Development
Learn about individuals’ technical and business/management training and career development, as well as staff and personnel management in the Professional Development track.
Research & Threats
In this track you’ll hear discussions about social engineering (spam, phishing, pharming, etc.), vulnerabilities, exploits (whether “theoretical” or in the wild) and research into these topics.
Security Services
In this track you’ll hear about access control, including authentication (identifies the user), authorisation (determines which resources and services an authenticated user may access), accounting (keeps track of time and data resources used for billing and analysis) and the management of such through identity management and provisioning. Examples of other security services include data leakage protection, enterprise rights management, forensics, and visualization.
Sponsor Case Studies
Learn innovative best practices from case studies based on successful strategies, delivered and discussed by leading edge companies.
